WESTMONT (SBN) — Thousands of South Jersey residents thronged the streets of Westmont and Collingswood, Camden County on Saturday, June 14 as part of the nationwide “No Kings” protest of Donald Trump’s regime and its unconstitutional use of military, police and immigration powers against American citizens.
The protesters marched nearly two miles from the Westmont PATCO Hi-Speed Line rail station to the parking lot of the Collingswood PATCO station, where they gathered for songs, chants, and speeches from event organizers and a special appearance by Muhammed Emanet, the co-owner of Jersey Kebab, whose father and mother were recently arrested by ICE, even after being in the US for more than 20 years. Muhammed Emanet faces an immigration hearing August 8 in Newark, and says he could be deported.
