Over the next decade, we are likely to experience a revolution in robotic technology that will bring personal robots into your home to take over the repetitive tasks that most of us want to avoid, like cooking, house cleaning, pool maintenance, and repairs.
That’s the future view of Israeli-born Elad Inbar, founder and CEO of RobotLab, the only franchise network for robots, and author of a new book, “Our Robotics Future,” which outlines the ways robots will transform whole industries before on our doorsteps to take over household tasks.
Inbar is the guest on this week’s SBN Newsmakers, which you can watch in the player below, or on the State Broadcast News channel on the Roku streaming service.
Elad discusses the distinctions between artificial intelligence and robots, exploring their applications across various industries, particularly in food service and security. He addresses concerns about job displacement, emphasizing that robots are designed to assist in areas where human labor is scarce. Elad also shares insights on the future of humanoid robots, the ethical considerations in programming them, and the importance of cultural context in robot behavior. The discussion highlights the potential for robots to coexist with humans and the transformative impact they may have on society.
