In this special interview for the Collingswood Book Festival, SBN news director Steve Lubetkin chats with 6ABC crime reporter Annie McCormick, whose debut book, The Doctor, The Hit Man, and the Motorcycle Gang, details the investigation into the murder of April Kauffman, allegedly arranged by her husband, Dr. James Kauffman.

The book traces how the murdered woman’s daughter became suspicious of her stepfather’s involvement in the death, and the years-long investigation that led to his arrest on murder-for-hire charges. Dr. Kauffman committed suicide in jail before standing trial.
