The program is anchored, and stories reported by, SBN news director Steve Lubetkin, an award-winning multimedia journalist who recently ended a four-year assignment reporting on commercial real estate news for GlobeSt.com, the CRE news website of ALM Media. During his four years at GlobeSt.com, Lubetkin reported on commercial real estate news and trends, and interviewed key players in the New Jersey, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Chicago markets.
“For the past four years, we’ve integrated print reporting with our radio and TV broadcast reporting capabilities, and we’ve been recognized by our peers in the journalism community for the quality of that work,” said Lubetkin. “Now, we’re energized by the opportunity to expand our radio news expertise with an in-depth weekly radio style program where we can provide members of the CRE community with news and interviews about trends and issues in the market — in the voices of the participants — that are important to their decision-making process.”
During his tenure with GlobeSt.com, Lubetkin’s reporting on CRE stories has been recognized repeatedly by the Garden State Journalists Association. In 2019 alone, he won six awards for video and audio news reporting from the Garden State Journalists Association, five of which were for stories related to coverage of commercial real estate. in 2018, he won four awards from GSJA, all for commercial real estate-related radio news style stories reported for GlobeSt.com.
He also hosted and moderated ALM’s RealShare New Jersey and Philadelphia conferences as part of his duties with GlobeSt.com.
The CRE News Hour program will open with a 5-7 minute roundup of the week’s headlines in the commercial real estate industry in radio news style, including stories with short audio “sound bites” from the participants where available.
The program will also include three long feature interview blocks (12-15 minutes each) in which Lubetkin will interview newsmakers in the commercial real estate industry about key trends, developments, deals, and other news. A shorter feature/interview segment of 8-10 minutes will highlight recent seminars or conferences, or other newsworthy events in the market.
The program includes 6:00 available for sponsor commercials, in three separate 2:00 commercial blocks during the program. The program is also available for full buyout sponsorship by a presenting sponsor.
Custom audio and video edits of guest interviews will be available for a production charge, but guests do not pay a fee to appear on the program.
Commercial real estate and economic experts interested in being interviewed on the program, and sponsors interested in buying commercial time on the program can email steve@statebroadcastnews.com for more information, including a rate card.
