Jewish Federations and agencies briefed by state officials

TRENTON — (SBN) — Lay leaders and professionals from Jewish agencies and federations in New Jersey recently received a briefing on state government resources as part of the Association of New Jersey Jewish Federations’ Government Resource Day workshop in Trenton. Leaders of key government agencies gave the attendees an update on state resources and activities relevant to Jewish organizations in areas of housing, family services, food programs, employment, job training, and homeland security.

Among those at the briefing were (from left), Jeff Shacket, JCRC Executive Committee member and co-chair of its Government Affairs Committee; David Snyder, executive director, Jewish Community Relations Council of Southern New Jersey; Lori Price Abrams, vice president, MWW Public Relations; Jacob Toporek, executive director of the New Jersey State Association of Jewish Federations; and Harry Horwitz, member of the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey.
